The short story that I will analyze is The Door in the Wall by H.G. Wells. The matter that I will concern is symbol in this story. I choose symbol because this story contain many interesting symbol to reveal. The method that I will use to analyze the symbols are:
First, I will read the story then I will try to find theme. Then I will start to identify the symbol, which contain in the story. Afterward, I will try to reveal the symbol true meaning with trying to relate it with the story theme.
