A Simple Thing Could be Great Things

Can you recall how much have you spent today? Is it around 50, or, maybe hundreds? Well, what about weekend? Ocassional things with family, friends, or lovers certainly would cause us to spend more than usual, doesn't it? Let's say the question is too personal and a bit bothering. Because, it stinks of interference and voyeurism. But, I call this, a simple thing and, with this 'simple thing', I can draw you something big. Something that you can hardly imagine, or never thought of. Surely, it won't be a plan of ocassional thing for weekend.
True that, hunger is not good for us in weekend. But, look around you. Would they have a dinner with shiny spoon and forks on a ceramic plate? Pay a close attention to them and, could you notice who is the one that suffering hunger?
Are they seem uneasy or in the state of painful sensation caused by craving appetite? Well, if they do, can you see that they are also exhausted because of it too. Above all, malnutrition is a serious problem that remains in all around us.
Yet, we might be the one who can get it solved. Malnutrition is an indication of lacking in nutrition. In other word, it is the impact of hunger.
There are two types of malnutrition. The first one is the lack of protein which has been a serious discussion to the world hunger. The sources of protein are meat, and other kind of food that contains protein. The lack of food that provides energy (calories) is also the main cause of it.
The second, is micronutrient lackness. It happens when vitamin and mineral are deficient. As a matter of fact, it is not the one giving troubles to malnutrition.
Speaking of world hunger, more than 1,02 billion people are hungry and, this is the increasing number from 854 million people, according to FAO statistical data in 14 October 2009. Maybe, we would found additional numbers if we do another statistical thing on this.
In asia and the pasific, counted up to 642 million people in the state of hunger, 265 for sub-saharan African, the number of 53 million noted in Latin America and Carribean, 42 in the near east and north Africa and, 15 million in developed countries. Let's think it over, what are the factors of this condition? The world wide economic crisis is one of them. It gives an impact to the prices, so significant increasing devastates the people who only spend few money in a day.
Let's pull ourselves together find a way to help us all. Taking the forementioned question, let's say, 50 thousands would be the exact number to spend in a day. Then, I say, we share half of it and give to those who needs it more. If we do a calculation of 10 persons doing that for a month, 7,5 million Rupiahs waiting to be donated and maybe, it can helps filling the stomach of those who are empty. Well, it actually does help. Let's make it a double times on the person, or, triple it and you can use your imagination on the numbers. That simple, isn't it?
Sometimes, we might forget to look around. Or, couldn't see hands that waiting to be held. Well, guilt is unnecesary, but, action is needed. So, why wait? Let's do what we can even we have to do it on our own. Because, if only we're the one who fills their shoes, can we imagine how does it feel to know that there is somebody out there, longs to let us know that we're not alone? And when we do, we would notice that a simple thing could be great things. So, why don't we do that simple thing together?
