For today, we can divide students into two types according to their attitude during their study times. They are students who graduating with a degree and students who graduating with big dreams. Then, what is the biggest different between students who graduating with degree and students who graduating with big dreams?
Mostly, students who graduating with a degree only concern with result not process. This kind of student didn’t care about how they can get good score, they will satisfied as long as they can get good point, no matter how they can get it. However, students who are graduating with a big dream will concern about process and result. Good score and skill are the result during their study time.
Graduate with big dream have plan for their life. Therefore, they not waste their spent time with something useless. They will give their effort to pursue their dream. Graduate with big dream will arrange their life carefully. In opposite, graduation with a degree didn’t know what will they do afterward. They will confuse with their life because they just pursue bachelors degree during their study time and not really thought about their future.
Graduate with big dream will acceptable in work society because they have skill. It is their result for their effort during their study time. Therefore, they will not find difficulties to find a job. But, the other one will face many difficulties because during their study time they just pursue the result and ignoring the process. Ignoring process make them don’t have skill which will they need in work society. This is why many graduating degree difficult to find job.
According from above we can determine which one we are. However to be graduating with degree or graduating with big dreams is about our choice. It was not late to think about our future, and rearrange our life and decide once again which one we want to be.

Graduating with only a degree and graduating with big dreams are like hidden choices for freshmen to immediately choose in the first semester. It is highly suggested because the first step in studying in the university influences the next steps the most.
Students who have already had dreams or real desires on their mind when they firstly choose a faculty in university are like seeds which are going to grow to be high trees. They will learn for something obvious so it will be easier for them to run fast on the track they have chosen. It is true because generally people tend to do something they have always wanted better than something they do not really know. It does not mean that people cannot do something new, but in this case, university is no longer a place for trying. University is a place of certainty.
Knowing that dream is like a foundation to keep them strong in studying, freshmen should have at least two plans or one exact plan to reach after they graduate. If they do not have it, they will be like seeds which are planted by an inexpert farmer, so they could grow well or unwell. They will study for a blur and they probably will be unstable in the middle of the semester. For example, they could be suddenly bored with the lessons, unsure with the continuation of the study, disappointed easily when lessons are getting harder, and many others.
Actually, the negative effects that students may get because of the uncertainty of their dreams depend on their selves. If they do not give up that easily and always try to do the best, they still can be good students. But perhaps the very obvious difference exists more on their spirit and satisfaction.
With definite intention in choosing a faculty with a dream to be something in the future, students must have high spirit in learning and doing efforts for their lectures. They will concentrate in class and actively participate in discussing material to get the knowledge perfectly. They will not let their scores to decrease even only a lecture because they have a target to reach by the very end of all semesters.
Well-planned students are not also easily satisfied with the scores they get. Even if they make all subjects “A” in the report, they will still fight for something more than just an “A”. Their dreams make them eager to improve their abilities for they know exactly that competition is everywhere and working hard to get the best result is the most important thing to keep struggling. These dreams and targets unconsciously lead them to a good habitual action and make them faster in finishing their studies.
On the contrary, students who do not have dreams and study in university only to get a degree usually have less vision about the future. They tend to follow only “the natural law” in campus. It means they do all the responsibilities, from doing assignment until exam, without any purpose to be better or more qualified. This condition makes them easily satisfied with the scores they get, whereas scores cannot guarantee the quality of a person to be able to work.
Actually, choosing to graduate with only a degree is not a problem if jobs are not the purposes of the students. But, if they want to work, having no dream is not really a good thing. It affects not only their studies in university, but also after they graduate. Their habits of letting everything goes normally without any effort to make it better cannot make them really success in working because they will do the same thing at work.

For Whom the Title Goes?
Nowadays, universities are full with all kind of students and their personal objectives. Because of some jobs have increased its standards, many people go to college (to get a title) first, before they decided to work. The question is, "Are they going to college only to have a bachelor degree or to pursue their dreams?"
To tell the difference of which students are "degree type" or "dream type", first, we have to know the reason or the background of why they choose to go to college. "Degree type" usually give cliche reasons to this kind of questions. Such as, "because my parents said I should to" or "it helps me to get a job more easily," or other dull-like answers.
Unlike "degree type", "dream type" usually have different answers. They know very well of what they are doing. Nobody told them to go to college, because going to college is part of their plans for the future. "Dream type" never give reasons like "degree type" gave, because it is what they need, not someone else's want.
Secondly, when it comes to work ethic. "Degree type" usually underestimate the value of class. They came late, accepting 'C' grade as better than nothing, and magically able to skip group assignment and presentation like ghost missing in the midst.
Compare to "dream type" that usually came on time, asking when did not understand the subject given by lecturers, and well prepared with their presentation, "dream type" are nothing to compare with when it comes to dedication.
In the end, either "degree type" or "dream type" will walk out from college with a title, they will become bachelor in their field of study. In the future, they maybe working in the same office and have the same amount of salary --- although when they were in college, "dream type" attended classes more often than others. It is kinda ironic, but sometimes fact tells the truth. That was just the only similarity they have: both are known as the specialist in their field of study.
With so many college students today, it is hard to tell which one of them is "man of the future". With all the differences they had, they both looking for the same goal: to have a bachelor degree, either it is "dream type" or "degree type". So which side are you on?

Everybody has their own purpose to reach their goal. It is make graduating with a degree and graduating with big dream are different. It just like when you choose to study in senior high school or vocational school. Graduating with a degree is like study in senior high school. After you graduate, you still do not know what you will be even when you continue your study in university, the job that you will get sometimes do not appropriate with your study. On the other hand, graduating with a big dream is like study in vocational school. The job that you get just like what have you studied, for example you are studying in English department in university and work as translator, interpreter or teacher. It means your job is like your dream.
The purpose of graduating with a degree is to satisfy ourselves after a long time study. Getting a degree, joining in graduation ceremony and putting the proud on our shoulders are the best ever things. However, those things are not enough. We still have many other realities that we must face, for instance what will we do after graduate? It is important because we do not know our destiny. Sometimes graduating with a degree is not enough. We must have other skill to get what we want because the competition to get a job is getting harder and harder. The people who can not survive will be buried in their degree. In contrast, graduating with a big dream is graduation because there is something that we want to achieve. It can be getting a job like what we want based on our degree or as a requisite of marriage. It usually happens to women because some of them want to be a housewife, the real dream.
Graduating with a degree and a big dream are really quite different. Graduating with a big dream is harder than graduating with a degree because we have to consistent of our study or very determined to reach our goal. Consistent means being a responsible student like attending classes regularly and socializing in college. For the students who want to graduate with a degree, attending classes regularly is the common thing. They will follow all the rules of university and instructions of lecturer to get cum laude at the end. But for them who want to graduate with a big dream, they will not avoid or break the rules and instruction but still obey of those points.
Socialization is an important thing to decide what you will be. Socialization is as important as a job to build a network. There are two differences of the student who graduate with a degree and a big dream. For they who graduate with a degree, socialization is important. They make a lot of friends even in every class of society but they just be friend and do not think what will they get of that friendship. They hang out; spend their time and money together without getting any knowledge, just for fun. Unlike the student who graduate with a degree, the student who graduate with a big dream will also make friends with a lot of people but they also consider of the feed back or advantage from that friendship, like make a friend with a person who taking a part in organization. There are two students in one of the best university in Jakarta, Joni and Joko. They always together in campus like a gay couple, but they do not. They are actually very best friend. They take the same subject, English literature, however, they have different will and way to face their campus life.
Joni is a rich boy because he has a rich father who is a success businessman in domestic and international cargo. He actually does not like literature but his father force him to learn English, that is why he takes English literature to get a title as a master in English.
Different with Joni, Joko takes English literature because he likes culture and literature. He wants to be TV news presenter that is why he needs to improve his English skill while he learns about culture and literature in the same time. Before he take English literature as his subject, he asked some advices from many people to make him sure that English literature will help him to reach his dream. He promise to himself that he will be serious with his study because he does not have father anymore and he does not want to waste his time.
In class, Joni always feels so sleepy. In his mind, the lecturer appears like a storyteller who brings him into a quality sleep. He does not want to listen whatever the lecturer explains in class. His hobby is looking to the watch and asking himself, “when its over?”.
What Joni always done in class is a far cry from what Joko has done. Joko always be the first student who sitting in the class before the lecturer comes. He feels so curious about the material that he reads in the book and he is ready to ask it to the lecturer. If he does not get a good answer, he will wait until the class over and ask the same question again to the lecturer.
Joko always takes a note of the additional material from the lecturer and Joni is never bored to borrow Joko’s note and copy it.
One day, Joni and Joko are gathered in one group to have a presentation in class. Joni feels so happy because he has his best friend in the group. As usual, Joni does not do anything for their presentation. He puts off his duty on Joko’s shoulder. Joko does anything he needs to make ‘their’ presentation perfect. An hour before the presentation, Joko gives a piece of paper that contains all material that he needs to explain in front of class when Joni’s turn comes. Finally, the presentation looks like a group presentation.
The day comes and goes very fast. Joko is busy to reach his thesis adviser and Joni is busy to get someone who can help him in class like what Joko has done to him. Four years pass quickly, Joko is almost done with his study and Joni is far away from graduation because he failed in many classes.
Joko is finally get his title as master of arts and he is accepted as a radio announcer in one of Jakarta’s leading radio. He gets that job after his struggle to work while he finishes his thesis.
On other hand, Joni is so much busy with his career in his father company while a paid man try to finish his thesis. Two years after Joko’s graduation, he can feel graduation too and he gets his title.
From Joni and Joko’s story we can find some values that there are students that really focus on their study because they want to reach their dream. They have a dream and they choose a subject that can help them to reach their dream. Those are different from some students who enrol themselves in university to get a title. They cannot focus on their study because they don not like it and they do not what to do with their knowledge. It might trigger from the forcing from their parents to choose the subject that they do not like or they parents are forced to choose the subject because they do cannot decide by themselves
Relation between the Differences of Graduating with a Degree and Graduating with a Big Dream
Everyone fell silent upon hearing of the speech of the lecture. At the first time, actually she only told about her experiences in college some years ago. She said that we need to have a big spirit to finish our study. Outside there, there were many people who graduated from their colleges only because they want a degree. But there were also some people who were successful to graduate because they had a really big dream. Graduating with a degree and graduating with a big dream made me start to think about what the particular things that differ them. Did they have big differences each other? Since that time, I tried to find out what the differences they have.
Students who reach their graduating only because they want a degree usually use very simple way in studying. Actually they can be said as the lazy. They do not want to work hard to reach something that is actually easy to do if they have a will. Even they do not have any dreams to reach.
For example, when they are assigned many works by their lecture, they cannot do those by their own selves. Their characteristic is easy to say difficult in doing anything. Often they are considered as plagiarism. It happens a lot because they do no want to try to do the homework by themselves, and copy other student’s work. It is very bad habit.
But, if we take a look at the students who are successful to graduate because they have a big dream, actually they have the opposite habit. They can be said as the diligent. They are willing to spend their time to work hard to reach something. They always have big will. Because they have much dreams to reach.
For example, if the lecture gives them assignment, they never think that it is difficult to do. They have many ways to finish their homework. Reading many books and searching for the data in the internet are their habitual life. It is like staple foods for them. They have no time to be extended in doing their homework. So far, we can see that the first difference is reflected by the characteristics and the way to study of each student in different graduating ways.
Then, if we are talking about extracurricular activities in college, students who only want a degree usually do not want to join in one of them. They think it has no benefits for them. It is just like spending their time without any advantages.
They do not want to try new activity in their life. They really feel comfortable if they have full time to be relaxed. Almost all of them do not want to lose their time only because of the extracurricular activity. Actually they do not know anything about the benefits of extracurricular activity it self.
Unlike them, students who have big dream in their life always want to try something new. It is like new experience for them. It is new challenge. They know that it has many benefits for them later. They do not want to lose their time with only doing something not useful outside there. That is why they join with many extracurricular activities in college. The different opinion about the advantages of extracurricular activities is the second difference.
Then, students who only want a degree from their college usually feel difficult when they are at the first time work. They are surprised by the situation and condition in the office. They are not trained to work hard, to work quickly, to finish their work on time and many difficulties more that they will experience at work later.
It is the effect of their habit when they were in the college. It causes a big shock for them who are not ready to step forward in the real world. They are not able to compete with the others. It causes their works will have no certain quality.
But, for the students who already have a big dream usually they will be able to overcome all of the difficulties at the first time work. Their mentality has been trained by the activity that they did in the college. Besides that, they also have been trained to work hard and quickly. Indirectly, they have been trained to become a leader at work later.
They will always finish their work on time although they have many plans to do. It happens because they are really patient, tough, and zealous in working. They are really able and ready to compete with the others. And their works will have a certain quality. That is the third and also the last difference which is reflected by the work results of each student in different graduating ways.
So, from the explanation above it can be concluded that actually the first and the second differences are about something that students did when they were in the college. It gives a big influence in their future like the last difference. Now, we can see that between graduating with a degree and graduating with a big dream have differences which are related each other to the future of the students who reach them.

I still remember, 3 years ago I had debate with my friend, Tiara, about our future. Actually we had same destination which is happiness, but we have different way to make it real. I preferred myself to graduating herself with a degree, and I preferred myself to graduating myself with big dream. Graduating here meant success, graduate is a word that imagery a final that you want to reach in life. Kenya said that my choice is wrong because how come people with less education success in business , yet they can get any job without title “it’s like dreaming at noon” she said. And I said her choice is wrong because how come people spend much money to study while they only do it lazily, cheat their friends and wait for long time to get succeed, “if we can run why should we walk” I said at that time. We have our own argument.
There are some things that make our idea different. First of all, graduating with a degree consider on formal education. It makes education and bachelor as priority, meanwhile graduating with big dream prefer to build new business or try to find a job than go to college to finish bachelor degree.
Second, by graduating with degree mostly we must spend our life in library, trapped by many books that teach us with theory. While graduating with big dream we spend our life by observing our surrounding which teach us practically and implicitly.
Third, big bravery and very strong willing is indeed more on graduating with big dream than on graduating with degree. Because, on graduating with big dream such a gambling. We hope for nothing and makes nothing become something. Than graduating with a degree, you just sit down in the class, study hard and you’ll graduate your bachelor with good score and hope that a company interest in you.
Commonly, graduating with a degree is done by people who have extra money, because it needs much money to pay college, book, transportation and anything than graduating with a big dream is reverse on it.
Both of them have advantage and disadvantage. We can’t judge which one is good or which one is better. Graduating with a degree and graduating with big dream are choices in life. But if I may give suggestion, better we combine both of them become graduating a degree with a big dream. So, while we are studying, we also manage our time. Such have part time job. So we make it balance, degree and dream. There are many things that we can get, example: we don’t need to ask our parents money anymore, we can have experience before we graduate and it can be a good benefit for us and the most important is we finish a degree and reach our big dream.
Success or happiness is a result, and the way we achieve it, is a process. Everyone has their own way and we’re free to choose which one that we’ll do. Remember, life is choice and we have to choose the best for our life. The most important thing, we still be our self to get succeed and keep pray to the God.

So many people want have good life. They do job and want get big salary. Before they get a job, they should graduate from university to get great job, so which graduation they suppose and they want they want to be? Is it the job suit from what they had study or they just want have a title? There are two kinds of what they are looking for from graduate, only for a title or for to make the dream become true.
When people were a kid, they must be had a dream. Maybe become pilot, police, or astronaut, and many more. But when people already grow up sometimes people think how to get much money or how to make my dream become true. People can forget about their dream because they want money, but some of them want get a great experience which is money can’t buy.
When start to study university, usually we only learn about what we like for example you like to study about economy so when you already in university, you take Economy major. For someone who only wants a graduation, in class, usually they don’t serious listen to the lecturer and sometimes they cheat in test. They don’t care what lecturer said as long as they get good score, its fine. They don’t think how to get good skill. They can get a job but when they do their job, they can’t do so perfectly because when they don’t apply what is taught by lecturers for example English literature graduate works in a bank. This graduate student will have problem in the first day because he doesn’t understand about economy and he doesn’t know how to do the job very well.
It depends of your self because even you apply what you got when you still in university, you can do your job very perfectly even your job is not suit with what you learned or your major. The important thing is you must study hard. You can’t get money very easily so you should work hard from the beginning. Make study and work hard become your favorite activity so when you can face all the things which are hard to do. We must do it from now because we don’t know when we get a job, if the job suit for us or not so we can face it and after that you can get much money.
For someone who chases a dream, should work hard too. You don’t want to disappoint your self for examples in the future I want to be novelist so I choose English literature become my major. I started to write stories from the beginning and when I already graduate from university, I try to write a book and sell it. This is really hard job because I hope so many people will buy my book and there are so many novelists who better than me. In every kind of job, there are out rivals so what you going to do are just hard work, use your best skills and pray because it’s very helpful. Beside you want your dream become true, you also want have great experiences.
Usually people who graduate with big dreams, they really want have best experience which never be forget. They don’t too much to think about money because they think that get money is easily that get experience. From experience we can learn how to do job very well so that’s why they chase it. They also want to be useful person from the experiences that they got. The worst thing is if someone really obsesses with the dreams and it can become true, so it can cause mental illness so just be careful about your big dreams.
Graduating with a degree and with big dream has advantages and disadvantages so the important thing is study and work hard. You can’t what you without work hard so form the beginning people should try what they could do and try to do the best.

Graduating with a degree and big dream has differences, there are three factors that become reasons for students to study and get a degree. They are future, intercourse, and ability. It shows that when the students who only have a degree, they don’t do new activities after graduating from university, and they don’t have the purpose in life. Meanwhile, the students who finished their study and have big dreams, their skill could be increased by their experience and knowledge in doing the new activities.
The first reason is future. Future is something that people have in life when they wish what they want. In fact, the differences of future between graduating with a degree and graduating with big dream are really big. It can be shown from graduating with a degree, actually after they passed in their college, they are lazy for searching the job or new activities. Most of the students who have finished their study, only consider about the degree that they have as a pride in their life. For example, the several teenagers in this era, they only want to study, but they don’t think what they must do and obtain for their future. The other example is several people are lazy for searching a job, because they think that they want to refresh their brain after study at the college and they want to refresh mind, but this can cause the difficulties in their life and bad future by their laziness.
Graduating with big dream is really good for the future. It means that, when the students who have finished their study, they want to get a successful life. For example; they have braveness for searching the information from other people. Then they try to make and do a good thing for improving skills in the business. It can cause the better life and future. The other example is they have biggest enthusiasm for getting a proper position in their life by they must to ask something that can practice for improving skill and giving the benefit to people want to successful and have a beautiful future.
The second reason is intercourse. Intercourse is the relationship where people can communicate to each other. In this case, graduating with a degree is bad and there is no purpose in life. For example; students who have completed their study by just having a degree, usually they only at home. Because, they didn’t have friend to help them when they get difficulties. Probably, they don’t want to have an interaction to other people. It can cause the bad intercourse, if there is no relationship between them. The other example is when people only to get a degree, usually they didn’t get a new experiences and information from people. It cause that their intercourse is limited and if they want to search the information really hard to find and get.
People graduated with big dream, their intercourse become wide. It means that, when the people want to get the information or job is easy to find. It means that, people more comfortable to faced the life and helpful to people make organization with each other. For example, when people want to search the information or job, if the people have many friends they can called, speaks, or chats with the other people. The other example is from their ability that they have; they can explain and give to other people.
There are some factors that can become the student’s reason in finishing their study. By these factors, they could be finishing their study just to have a degree or with big dreams. But it depends on the student itself whether they have big dreams or not.

Graduating with a degree and big dream has differences, there are three factors that become reasons for students to study and get a degree. They are future, intercourse, and ability. It shows that when the students who only have a degree, they don’t do new activities after graduating from university, and they don’t have the purpose in life. Meanwhile, the students who finished their study and have big dreams, their skill could be increased by their experience and knowledge in doing the new activities.
The first reason is future. Future is something that people have in life when they wish what they want. In fact, the differences of future between graduating with a degree and graduating with big dream are really big. It can be shown from graduating with a degree, actually after they passed in their college, they are lazy for searching the job or new activities. Most of the students who have finished their study, only consider about the degree that they have as a pride in their life. For example, the several teenagers in this era, they only want to study, but they don’t think what they must do and obtain for their future. The other example is several people are lazy for searching a job, because they think that they want to refresh their brain after study at the college and they want to refresh mind, but this can cause the difficulties in their life and bad future by their laziness.
Graduating with big dream is really good for the future. It means that, when the students who have finished their study, they want to get a successful life. For example; they have braveness for searching the information from other people. Then they try to make and do a good thing for improving skills in the business. It can cause the better life and future. The other example is they have biggest enthusiasm for getting a proper position in their life by they must to ask something that can practice for improving skill and giving the benefit to people want to successful and have a beautiful future.

Talking about Essay

Writing is a medium. It is like a bridge that is connecting our mind, ideas, expression, ideas and all, to the reality. I mean like, when you write something, certainly you would pour down your ideas to a piece of papers. Then, readers would know the ideas you have poured so they might be agreed with the thing you have written. Or, maybe not – well, there will always pros and cons in everything, yes? And we are not going to talk about pros and cons here.
However, seeing the analogical sentence above, if writing is a bridge then a good bridge is a strong bridge that can hold whatever passed upon it safely. So it would be a similar utterance with, a good writing is a strong medium that holds any ideas, arguments, thoughts, etc. safely to the minds of readers.
Well, let’s begin to think about how we build a bridge. There will never a bridge when we don’t mind the foundation. Or, you may forget about readers and all if you don’t have a topic – even you don’t have any topics, it could be a topic too. So, take one as a foundation to your writing. When you already have it, write it on your writing draft as an outline. Because, you will be working like an architect in doing a process of writing, an architect usually has some kind of construction draft and blueprints. The difference is, you are an architect of words instead of building. So you need the draft as your essay’s blueprint.
A good architect will certainly choose the best materials for the building. For, the works would represent the architect’s credibility when the building has successfully built. Of course, an architect of words, a writer, would show no difference. A writer would take the proper materials in composing an essay. For an example, if we are going to write about Rendang, of course we wouldn’t add something that is not related to it as a supporting ideas or arguments. More the same like an architect, if the architect is building a railroad, then the architect doesn’t need asphalt as the railroad’s material.
After finding materials and put it on your outline draft, it would be the exact time to take first execution. Before that, brainstorming activities and little research with friends could be useful. Writing actually doesn’t need much of formula to calculate its appropriateness. But, it does need certain knowledge and, brainstorming helps us on getting that.
In the execution part, we sometimes troubled by creating sentence, keeping the consistency of the writing’s flow, taking a good decision on words choice, or else. In this case, the best suggestion and solution is just keep doing. Therefore, when it’s done, re-read the works and you could make an editing on it. Remember, a good bridge holds whatever passed upon it safely.
Criticism is unavoidable when you have published your work. Yet, it often could make you feel down when somebody is showing disagreement or, for worst; someone might said that your works is not worthy to read. Or, you may also say that reading this essay is a waste of time. But that is criticism. If we couldn’t see the bright side of it or, take it as a motivation, then we will never be better. Again, criticism is only a matter of pros and cons. And, this essay is not meant to talk about it.

Three Points of Making an Essay
Vocabulary, coherency of paragraphs, and grammar are three important points to master when we want to make a good essay in English. Those three elements are not too difficult to learn if we can do certain strategy or fun solution to make them much easier.
The first step we can do as a beginner writer is making a Tree of Words. Based on the theory in Learning Revolution, learning can be more effective if we can visualize our ideas into interesting pictures . So, Tree of Words is the right way to help us enriching vocabulary and stimulating our brains to connect ideas.
We can choose a topic about something we like and start to write it down into a piece of paper or notebook. Then, under the topic we have chosen, write the words that support the idea of the topic as many as we can and shape them like branches of tree or other shapes we love to see to make the learning more interesting.
In order to reduce difficulties in collecting and finding appropriate words, we can look up at Indonesian – English Dictionary. It is very important because simple mistake can cause misunderstanding.
For example, Indonesian people use the word ‘ hand phone ‘ to state a phone they can bring everywhere, when in fact, that word is not usual for native English speakers. They usually use ‘cell phone’ or ‘mobile phone’ instead of ‘hand phone’. This problem can make the native readers confuse when they read our essay.
Besides enriching vocabulary, Tree of Words can also be considered as a starting step to make a draft of an essay. All we need to do is classify the words we have written into three or more points so that later we can organize and develop our ideas into paragraphs well.
We can imagine as if we have a topic in mind titled Starburst Coffee. The words related to it perhaps are coffee, cup, flavors, price, place, location, situation, facilities, and discounts. Next, we classify coffee, cup, and flavors into the first main point named The Details of Product. It will be the main idea in the first paragraph and the explanation will be about the common facts about the product.
After that, facilities, situation, and location are gathered into the second main idea titled The Description of the Café. The explanation will be about the physical facts about the Starburst Coffee building and how the atmosphere is going there. Do the same step until the last main idea we have.
If we have had the draft with the classified words, we can directly try to develop them into paragraphs, but we must check the coherency of the main points that we have written so we will be easier to make a connecting sentence.
We can take the example of the previous topic about Starburst Coffee. As a writer, we must make a relation between the first main idea, The Details of The Product, and the second main idea, The Details of The Café, although they are different. It is because Readers will always need to read connected paragraphs.
Think of the best sentence we will put by the end of the first paragraph to continue the explanation into the second one. We can say for example : Not only the delicious and unforgettable taste of the coffee that customers can get here in Starburst Coffee, but also the comfort design of the building. Then after that sentence, we can directly talk about the second main idea.
The importance of coherency of paragraphs is stated by Murray and Hughes in Writing Up Your University Assignments and Research Projects that coherency is about how well a writer can arrange ideas as well as possible to make readers understand.
From that theory, we know that reader is everything for a writer. Therefore, when we begin to develop our main points into paragraphs, never forget to re-read as if we are the readers. We have to be critical and fair although it is our own essay. Always remember that making the readers understand is the main purpose of being a writer.
The last step in the process of making an essay is grammar editing. Actually editing does not only consist of grammar editing, but in this case, we need to emphasize on it because we write in English. However good the ideas and the content of an essay, the readers will not understand if the grammar we use is not right.
Actually, the easiest way to check the grammar of our essay is by typing it on the computer. The automatic spelling and grammar checking tools will show us the correct form of tenses or words if we do mistakes. But, we cannot fully depend on it because we have to be able to write manually.
To be expert in grammar, we must regularly do grammar exercises or read many English books. By reading, unconsciously we will absorb grammar patterns contained in each sentences in the books. When we get used to read and think in English, later we will be easier to learn grammar theoretically.
If we can accomplish the three basic main points of a good essay well, the readers must be satisfied to read our works as beginner writers. But, it does not mean we stop the efforts here. We have to keep improving our creativity in making new ideas and stories so that our essay will grow better and become the best.

To make a readable essay, the first thing you have to consider is not the language aspect, such as grammar or vocabulary, but the composition of your paper itself.
In making a good essay, the first step is to choose your topic. Decide what topic you want to write. It is better to choose a topic that you're familiar with. If you know nothing about music, then don't write about it. You can choose your topic by thinking about things you like the most. Anything that you know the best is the right choice.
Next, decide about what you will say. You have to be careful of using your words. Because if you made a small mistake, the impact will be bigger than the blunder you made. For example, you choose to talk about football as your theme. But football is a general theme. There are so many things you can say about football. This is the time you have to make a decision. Either you write about the game of football itself or a football player or other things related to football. It is you who decide. You can free your thoughts but stay focus on your topic and arguments.
After that, choose the form you want to use. There are many variation of essays you can apply. There is narrative style, descriptive style, process essay (like I use in this writing), and many more. Each of the form has different paragraph development. It is up to you to decide which form represents your communication style.
In you essay, you have to had, at least, one reasonable judgement. This will become your final conclusion of your writing. It has to be reasonably persuasive, because it will be your "final blow" of your thesis statement. In addition, your judgement has to be strong, or your so-called long argument will be nothing, then in the future, your readers may underestimate you.
The last step of writing an essay is to choose your readers. They are the reason why you always had lack of sleep every night because you push yourself hard to understand about essay writing. Knowing who's your audience and you will know which topic and tone you should use in your article. If you could give them unique topic using the right tone, congratulation, you will have your dedicated fans.
Now you have known the composition of writing an essay. It is your decision to follow the process I have given you or not. I just want to remind you once more that you do not have to worry about the language structure. The quotation tells the different between comparison and contrast very clearly. As a new writer, you have to choose one thing that you really want to emphasize, the similarity or the difference. It helps you to focus on one thing than you just write nothing. Now you can start making a draft about something that has the similarity or the difference.
To start your writing, you better to pick one topic that you really understand. For example, you can write about new environment of school, because you are a freshman in campus. After you finish with the content, you can close your essay by making a conclusion. There are several ways to make a conclusion, but I make summarizing as the best way to end a comparative essay, because it can restate what you have explained in the content. Try to express your thesis statement in other words to get your conclusion.
Those are the ways to make a comparative/contrast essay. First, try to choose one topic that really close to you. Second, develop your topic into one thesis statement. Third, make your content full of supporting ideas and write it all into many small paragraphs. The last, make a summarizing to end you essay. First I’ll begin with the topic. Try to find a good topic and simple or general topic, this make you easily to brainstorming and enlarge your topic, so you can try to write a thesis statement and main idea for your essay, for easier you can use you experience to be a topic for you essay and enlarge it, for example you can remind to the past to think and feel with your head and heart the most experience that make you couldn’t forget easily, the experience that make you cry, smile, or even embarrassed you at the time, then write down to be your topic in your essay, but if you can’t to rewind your memory experience that have you done in past you can search another topic like your favorite of something for example: your food, sports, hobbies, or else or maybe about a news that is hot in that day.
Second way after you decided your topic try to enlarge of it to more specific with a thesis statement and main idea. The essay will effective with a good main idea and thesis statement that you take from your topic. Make a thesis statement and the main idea that general and easy to enlarge for you essay, write with a simple sentences and easy to understand so you can enlarge your essay easily, don’t even think to write a thesis statement and main idea with a difficult word because we are still study except you are a professional writer but for once it’s ok to improve your skill a bit.
Third after you write a good thesis statement and main idea, try to make a draft first because if you want to make a good essay you have to make a draft for brainstorming your main idea, so you can make a contents that you want to talk in your essay.

An excellent essay should be composing by several important parts and steps. We also have to always grab a big attention for every single word and sentences of our essay, and how to make our essay obviously clear and make a reader easy to understand and enjoy reading it.
If people suspected that writing an essay as easy as always, they are absolutely wrong in this case. Maybe people around especially student which didn’t take English literature were thinking, what part of write something down can make a complicated problem? Or maybe an old question like, is that really hard to just write down an essay is easy like cook a noodles. Or maybe like write our life story on diaries book. It cause by a limited knowledge about make a good essay and what steps or method should we have take for making an excellent essay, not only academic essay but also non academic essay. It is quite important to learn about how to make an excellent essay for college students in every major. Because I think that we have equal final script to make an essay. So, it necessary to learn about this one thing, maybe we don’t have a capability to write in a good way for our own essay. And based on that kind of problem, I will give several important key words to make an excellent essay.
There are three key words or steps that I have got from Paragraph Power second edition’s book; there is “The topic sentence, The subject development, The summary sentence”. We can see that a whole steps have a general and common way, but it can help us more than that to keep writing an essay well.
First steps is The topic sentence, have two part of this steps, The general subject and the specific parts. We have to always remember when we start to writing, that our essay should be beginning with the topic sentence. The topic sentence can give us the general subject and the specific parts. Then, we can develop it into paragraph. For instance, if there is a sentence “Over a million people visit
Second steps are The subject development. Also have two more specific details, which is Proper organization of the subject development and Specific facts and specific examples. In these steps, we only input facts and examples for our body paragraph to make our essay can understanding clearly about what we want to tell to the reader.
Third last steps are The summary sentences. According to the book, most of summary sentences are constructed according to one of the two following methods. First method is “Repeat the main ideas of the paragraph in a new way”, and “Give a conclusion based on the information in the paragraph”. We can choose only one which we want to apply it to our essay. By repeat the main ideas of paragraph in a new way, we can explore with another own words. And by give a conclusion based on the information in the paragraph, we can put a whole content and make it into short conclusion.
Maybe if next time we are stuck to write an essay, we can open again our second term book and find out about the right steps to make an essay.
