The Different Purposes of Graduate Students

The aim of students who study in university must have some reasons. They just want to chase a degree or they actually like studying in certain department that they take. The differences between graduating with a degree and graduating with big dreams are the purpose, the enthusiasm, and the socialization.

Usually, students who just want to chase a degree are students who do not have a purpose for their future. It means that they just want to get a degree and work after they get it. They do not think about what kind of work that they will get after they graduated, whether they like it or not, or it is compatible with the department of study that they took at the college or not. The most important thing is they will get a job as soon as possible. Beside that, so many degree chasers are more giving a priority to a position in the company. Even some of them are willing to continue studying after graduated from their university in order to become a master.

Different than students who graduate with a degree, students who graduate with big dreams must have a wonderful plan for their future. They will get a job that they like and commensurate with their department that they took before. They do not think about the position that they will get in the company, and maybe some of them do not think about money, they just want to enjoy their future job because they must like to do it. On the average, students who graduate with big dreams will work with pleased and satisfied feeling, not feel under pressure from superior, colleagues, even situation in the office.

The enthusiasm of students who are more emphasizing a degree are monotonous than students who have big dreams because they just study about what their lecturers give at college. They are focused on that. Besides, they also just learn about subjects from department of study that they take. They do not interest to learn other subjects beside their department subjects. They think that it is useless to study any other subjects except their department subjects. Therefore, their knowledge is just to the certain subjects from their department, of course. They are sure to arrange what subject that must they take in order to graduate on time, and they do not think about their final score because getting a degree as soon as they can is better.

The students who graduate with big dreams are really enthusiastic at the college. Actually, becoming big dreamers are more relaxed in passing through their study at university. They will learn by themselves about study that they take, and they can do it easily without the explanation of their lecturers who always teach them every time at class. Usually, they have a broad knowledge because they must be often reading many books about subjects of their department, even something which is related with their subjects or department too. Beside that, they often feel so curious about something that they do not know before, and they will find out about that until they really find it.

We can also see the difference between those students is from their socialization. Student who just chase a degree are more serious than students who enjoy their department. They are inclined to study hard until graduation, so that they are seldom to get along with their friends in college. They usually go to college and go home after the lecture over. Actually, this is not good for them because socialize with each other is very important. And it causes they do not have some networking to get a job. This is the worst thing ever if it happens to them because maybe they cannot get a job.

On the average, students who have big dreams after graduate are easier to socialize with each other, in their college or out of college. They do that because they are not focused on their study when they still at their university, but they are more giving priority to their intercourse with others. They must need many people to help them to reach something, such as a job or something one day.

The university students have their own purpose for their future. Some of them are the students who study just to get a degree and some of them are the students who graduate with big dreams. Their purpose is very contrast, but it depends on the student itself whether they study just to get a degree, or study and graduate with big dreams.
