Relation between the Differences of Graduating with a Degree and Graduating with a Big Dream

Everyone fell silent upon hearing of the speech of the lecture. At the first time, actually she only told about her experiences in college some years ago. She said that we need to have a big spirit to finish our study. Outside there, there were many people who graduated from their colleges only because they want a degree. But there were also some people who were successful to graduate because they had a really big dream. Graduating with a degree and graduating with a big dream made me start to think about what the particular things that differ them. Did they have big differences each other? Since that time, I tried to find out what the differences they have.

Students who reach their graduating only because they want a degree usually use very simple way in studying. Actually they can be said as the lazy. They do not want to work hard to reach something that is actually easy to do if they have a will. Even they do not have any dreams to reach.

For example, when they are assigned many works by their lecture, they cannot do those by their own selves. Their characteristic is easy to say difficult in doing anything. Often they are considered as plagiarism. It happens a lot because they do no want to try to do the homework by themselves, and copy other student’s work. It is very bad habit.

But, if we take a look at the students who are successful to graduate because they have a big dream, actually they have the opposite habit. They can be said as the diligent. They are willing to spend their time to work hard to reach something. They always have big will. Because they have much dreams to reach.

For example, if the lecture gives them assignment, they never think that it is difficult to do. They have many ways to finish their homework. Reading many books and searching for the data in the internet are their habitual life. It is like staple foods for them. They have no time to be extended in doing their homework. So far, we can see that the first difference is reflected by the characteristics and the way to study of each student in different graduating ways.

Then, if we are talking about extracurricular activities in college, students who only want a degree usually do not want to join in one of them. They think it has no benefits for them. It is just like spending their time without any advantages.

They do not want to try new activity in their life. They really feel comfortable if they have full time to be relaxed. Almost all of them do not want to lose their time only because of the extracurricular activity. Actually they do not know anything about the benefits of extracurricular activity it self.

Unlike them, students who have big dream in their life always want to try something new. It is like new experience for them. It is new challenge. They know that it has many benefits for them later. They do not want to lose their time with only doing something not useful outside there. That is why they join with many extracurricular activities in college. The different opinion about the advantages of extracurricular activities is the second difference.

Then, students who only want a degree from their college usually feel difficult when they are at the first time work. They are surprised by the situation and condition in the office. They are not trained to work hard, to work quickly, to finish their work on time and many difficulties more that they will experience at work later.

It is the effect of their habit when they were in the college. It causes a big shock for them who are not ready to step forward in the real world. They are not able to compete with the others. It causes their works will have no certain quality.

But, for the students who already have a big dream usually they will be able to overcome all of the difficulties at the first time work. Their mentality has been trained by the activity that they did in the college. Besides that, they also have been trained to work hard and quickly. Indirectly, they have been trained to become a leader at work later.

They will always finish their work on time although they have many plans to do. It happens because they are really patient, tough, and zealous in working. They are really able and ready to compete with the others. And their works will have a certain quality. That is the third and also the last difference which is reflected by the work results of each student in different graduating ways.

So, from the explanation above it can be concluded that actually the first and the second differences are about something that students did when they were in the college. It gives a big influence in their future like the last difference. Now, we can see that between graduating with a degree and graduating with a big dream have differences which are related each other to the future of the students who reach them.
